The twice Grammy-nominated band Midland brings the spirit of the Western plains, Laurel Canyon, and Texas honky-tonks back to country music. Featuring lead singer/guitarist Mark Wystrach, bassist/vocalist Cameron Duddy, and lead guitarist/vocalist Jess Carson, the band was formed at a friend’s wedding, where they bonded over their shared musical influences and a desire to revive that classic country vibe.
Based in Dripping Springs, Texas, the trio honed their sound at the legendary Sonic Ranch in Tornillo, Texas. Their double-platinum hit "Drinkin’ Problem” laid the foundation for their critically acclaimed album On The Rocks and their No. 1 debut on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart, Let It Roll.
Midland’s latest album, Barely Blue, delivers a timeless country sound infused with both melancholy and resilience. Produced by Grammy-nominated Dave Cobb, Mark Wystrach, Cameron Duddy, and Jess Carson take listeners on a journey through neon-lit nights, dusty roads, and hard-earned wisdom. Drawing inspiration from classic country and bands like Crosby, Stills & Nash, the album tells stories of heartbreak, loneliness, and the strength to keep moving forward. Despite the sorrow, there is always hope—beautifully captured in songs like "Barely Blue” and "Better Than a Memory.
